Hahahaha, custom shiz yo. Those need a lot of work to look normal... Ill get some pics later today. i bought the cup holder off ebay that gets velcroed into the little storage tray in the rear center console. It was way too cheesy. So i cut it up and molded it into the console. still needs some finishing.

Got the primer blocked out, a few little things fixed and the whole area sealed. Almost ready to go 400 wet sand that stuff and spray the rocker panel texture stuff.

Im planning to paint this thing tonight. :) im gonna have to set up some serious lights though.

Got the tail lights today and theyre way cleaner than i thought they would be. Turns out just the dust seal on the caliper was melted. The insides seem fine. the brakes are bled and ready to go. My dad took the 2" hole saw to NY with him so i cant finish my gauge holder.... Moved the cig lighter into the center console so i have more room for gauges in the ashtray area. Put three 1/8th npt barbs in the intake manifold and got rid of the one fitting with no barb on it so i no longer have any T fittings for all my vac hoses and theyre all very secure. Rewired the gauges but couldnt get the amber/ white changing capability to work. Oh well. I wanna try to figure out how to get the wire that makes the gauges amber have power with key acc/on and then no power when the lights are on.

Good stuff boys. She's drivable but i want to get it painted before shes actually on the road. I know im not gonna want to put it up again to paint soon.......

So i had some rain to wait for... I got some more small stuff done. Cut the hole for the coil wires on MS. Secured the diverter valve hose a little nicer. Secured some more of the passenger side wires and the wastegate signal line.

The rain stopped so i got to tape everything off and clean it one last time. I got everything primed for real. So far im pretty happy with my body work :) mostly because of this:

Im hoping to have it painted tomoro but we all know how that goes.

Well, ive come to the conclusion that heat + metal = bad time. The rear quarter was pretty warped. Not any more! Its not 100% done yet but its almost good enough to paint.

So today, i got the trunk wires hooked up. Apparently the wiring for the central locking in the trunk isnt a part of the main trunk harness :( . All my tail lights function as they should. The 3rd brake light doesnt. When i took it off, the little circuit board is a little melted. Balls.

Got the muffler area undercoated twice. Got the exhaust up and made some tips from the left over 3" stainless i have. Im undecided weather im going to paint or polish them yet.

She runs!!! and its super loud. Oh well ill be buying a center muffler soon enough.

Tomoro is body work unfortunately. Im trying to get it driveable by saturday but we'll see.

Im still waiting on the caliper and the tail light lenses are supposed to be here saturday.

kenika65, totally missed your post! Sorry about that. The cat didnt start everything. Its not just because the cat that my car was on fire. If there wasnt a whole bunch of fuel in the exhaust from the coils not sparking the plugs, there wouldnt have been a problem.

So the paint looks pretty good. Not wet enough in the trunk but it looks good enough. The muffler area came out great.

So, got the inside and underneath painted!

I cant wait to see it dry and see how bad it is hahahaha.

If its good enough for me, im gonna run the wires and finish the underside.

Thanks!!! Meh, the stuff i used before has a really really fine texture. From a distance it looks smooth but it isnt. It helps hide the small imperfections too. The right way to do it is to prime, paint n then use the coating n then paint again! So im gonna paint it n not do the coating or last coat of paint.

Im really really hoping to have the insides painted tonight. Tomoro will be undercoating the muffler area, wire the trunk, throw the exhaust up. Smooth out the quarter some and prime the quarter and valence. Thursday i might try to paint it!

Hopefully i get the tail light lenses by friday so i can go to jerz.

Oh now I know why this happend!!! Because you used a chepoooo universal cat,,, They are seriously crap im so glad that cheep cat didn't ruin your entire build.

Making fast progress very good very good. Leave the rear valence smoothed out and just hit it with some rust protecting paint if your going to drive it. It will look better and different.

Thanks man!! I miss my car!

I was going to but i got talked into gutting the cat and putting it back. So thats what went down. This way it looks like there is one just in case.

Im hoping to drive to NJ this saturday which means getting the inside stuff painted, the bottom undercoated and the trunk wired.... Sweet!!!!!
