    Yeah, its possible. I think im going to have to come up with a shield for it soon.

    There was definitely water in the last 4 plug holes though, which has been known to cause misfiring in these motors.

            Haha thanks guys! Shes running alright. Really in need of some standalone ems though the BEGI is pretty lacking.

            Its not really THAT unsafe. It gets to about 13.5:1 afrs up top but its around 12:1 at peak torque which is cool. Keep in mind im not really running much boost at all. Its only about 7-9psi usually. This is running no WG spring either :-x I need a larger wastegate and ems so i can tune for the boost i want to be running. Im pretty confident that everything would be fine if i could run 15psi safely (tuning wise).

                Yeah its "lean" but with how little boost im running its not THAT big of an issue. Trust me, i havent hesitated to beat the shit out of it since i knew it was running semi decent this past summer. I havnt had any real problems from running it the way i have been. All the problems have been due to the fact that ive never been around FI cars let alone built one. Its all been put together from well educated guesses and whats worked for other people along with some ingenuity on my part. Sometimes that doesnt work so well haha...

                  But it makes it fun as hell haha. Are you getting any ping at all? On my cars I'll probably see some death ping around 13.5:1 haha. Could be a lot to do with the compression ratio though.

                  When I trashed the rods on the 5 cyl motor I heard audible detonation right out the exhaust. 21 psi right under 3k rpms. OOOOPS. AFR's weren't abnormal though, was probably around 11:1 maybe at most 12:1. ( I didn't have my WBo2 hooked up then, but I didn't change any tuning for the new engine when I did get it hooked up).

                  From what I have experienced, my engine's ran very very nice right before they decided to give up. :) Kind of like a "good luck sucker" from my engine.

                    Im not getting any pinging that i can tell. The plugs look pretty nice too. I think its due to the fact that im only running 9psi max. I think if i was making 21psi id be fucked haha

                          Thanks Byron! And everyone tells me its quick but im still not convinced. Before i had this manifold on it i was almost as fast as a STI with upped boost, intake, exhaust and a tune. I feel the cars faster now than it was then but im not 100% sure.

                          I really need to get it tuned. I need to figure out what ecu i want to buy.

                              Haha word son. I gotta call up Mike in a week or so and go over some stuff. If someone buys my Borbets that'll go towards buying an ecu. The cheapest im seeing AEM ems for is like $1900 so i ned some cash for that or itll have to wait till summer. :(

                                So... Slight update. Im getting my first paid vacation EVER!!!! Itll be nice extra $600 for nothing! Im going to try to get in a few hrs of overtime this and next week.Theres a guy selling a brand new Autronic sm4 for a really good price....

                                With the price and the extra week worth of pay i really cant pass it up. So Autronic is in my immediate future. One of my buddies who had a SM4 in his M3 will be "supervising" my install so im in good hands with that haha. Hes got access to a dyno too so we can really tune this bish! Its been way too long with no tuning.

                                Oh and i have to take my car in for emissions testing by Feb 23rd too. Hope i dont fail...



                                Anybody want a MS1v3.0 for cheap to play around with?
