im leaving it for now. Dont have time and i want to get it in the car tonight :)
Its all welded and all the holes are ported nicely. Its ready to clean and put in. Then i have to plumb the WG, build a down pipe and fix the charge pipe to accommodate the new turbo placement...
Gonna be a long night haha

Thanks!
Jay, its close, i agree. Not as close as it looks in the the pics and with the manifold gaskets itll be out a little more too. And id rather it be close to the head than the car...
Ben i really dont know how to tig so itd kinda be a waste of time for me to go down and play with it. Thanks a lot though!Leave a comment:

Very nice man! Looks like its coming along nicely.
BTW, the shop I work for has a super nice Miller Dynasty 200 that you could possibly use to clean up those welds. :pLeave a comment:

i know i know i lost my shitty p'n s which is ok cause the screen was broken and you couldnt tell what you were shooting anyway. But usually when i get done with this shit its like 2 am and i dont feel like grabing the rents camera and going back outside... Ill get some better pics i promise!Leave a comment:

Im not 100% sure yet. I am set on building a 84.5mm block though. That said, probably o-rings cause its cheaper haha.
Im starting to get into the stock ecu. Ive got a bin file for my ecu and ive found a few maps and now i know what the designations are for some of the important variables. So im learning a lot about that and i also learned that its pretty difficult to get around the HFM in these ecu's but it is do able.
Im planning on pulling the head this weekend or next to throw in another stock gasket and arp studs just because and to get me through winter. I'll mock up the new manifold and get the two flanges attached to each other so i can do work on that. If the cylinder head is cracked then im buying a junkyard vanos motor. All the maps are already found and you can run a 3.5" maf and get away with it. And you can hand it over to someone who knows what theyre doing when and if you fuck up haha.Last edited by So Live; 09-14-2008, 05:51 PM.Leave a comment:
