So with all my boxs of parts it all down to building the rest of the damn thing.

Here is the new oil pump that has to be converted to 5 series pick up. (s50 is the longer arm)

new crank nose swapped over and all new timing chain and oil pump chain guides and the oil pump installed

Found out the old oil pressure relief valve was full of silicon so would have not worked.. so installed the new one

      timing case goes on

pistons 1 & 6 are moved to top dead center ready for head install. I am using a VAC motorsport multi layered steel gasket

yeah its a good cover.. unfortunately i cant use it on this engine :(

          bit of a picture update

this is the o-ring kit you get... a pain to find the right o-ring as they all seem almost the same size..
          putting the water pipes together

Picked up another exhaust cam sprocket from parramata prestige

got them machined with the hardening taken off and slotted holes put in.

          trial install

exhaust cam put in so that the valve clearances can be checked which seem to be a fair way out. Then shims will need to be swapped or new ones bought

So you can make adjustable cam gears from the stock ones? Interesting...

              Keep up the good work.

sooo ive started heading in a different direction again as the supercharger is going to be dificult to fit where i would like it to go. so i have choosen to go turbo. Meaning my supercharger will be up for sale.

i have orded my shims finally as this has been a great pain the the backside but i am still waiting for them to arrive. so in the meantime i have thrown the engine in to test fit it.

                turbo purchased

I decided to mount it low as there seems to be more advantages than disadvantages for me.

going to have to make a new engine arm so the dump pipe can fit.

a picture of what it would look up top.

                                Mucci

it is an alpina part. Im not sure if they made it in a "us spec" version. jump on german ebay and you might beable to pick yourself up one. there is also a guy in the states that makes replica ones out of aluminium but for both ideas be prepared to pay a fair amount of money.

Yeah AC cobra should be a fun project. just getting a parts list together at the moment

Recieved my shims from america and installed them today as well as test fitting my mocked up intercooler.
