Why the fuck cant I find 400 dollar E30's around here? Even non running DB Etas go for a thousand round these parts.

Started pulling the drivers side fender last night, and also found one 1" size surface rust spot on the drivers side door a few inches below the side view mirror. Someone mentioned that maybe the shift linkage got bumped and is the reason for not finding R,1,2 gears, so maybe I'll get lucky with that. The more and more I think about it, the more it makes sense to make this into a track car if I end up having to pull the tranny. That's basically half way to a swap, just pull the m20 along with it and replace with m50 right ? :) I'll just have a lot of work to do, to swap the a/c & suspension parts between the two cars though.

Made a little progress today. Fenders are basically off, cat-back is out. Drive-shaft is coming out next so I can get to the shift-linkage and see if it's broken.

looks like a fun pos, i need to find another one. That exhaust looks e36, maybe e34's or e32's had bent mufflers i am not sure, but i know e36's do. Have fun with it, good luck, and also good luck figuring out what to do with it.

I am not going to fix this up like I did with my 318i, this will be my track car, it doesn't have to be all pretty. M20 is coming out, A/C is going into my 318i.
