 That may or may not work depending on the laws in RI. In Massachusetts, you pay sales tax based on either the transaction price or the Blue Book value, which ever one is higher.Leave a comment:

 Why not "gift" it over to a friend (no tax), register to him, then have him "gift" it back to you?

 I got a bunch done today but my camera batteries are charging so youll have to wait till tomorrow. Also i went to the dmv to get it registered... And they wanted to me to pay the tax on BLUE BOOK of 2,345!!!!!!!! what the shit! Needless to say i didn have the cash on me so i have to go back wends :down:
