mass has a totally fucked up way they say they get the value, they say they price it on what cars have recently sold for, its complete bull shit, they taxed me 220.58 for my 85 eta.

You are correct kronus. I've done that several times with E30's in NY. It's easy to get away with that on a 20+ year old car :)

Why not "gift" it over to a friend (no tax), register to him, then have him "gift" it back to you?

As far as I understand, vehicle sale tax can be avoided like that in private sales.

And they wanted to me to pay the tax on BLUE BOOK of 2,345!!!!!!!! what the shit! Needless to say i didn have the cash on me so i have to go back wends :down:
