I saw your car there last weekend when I stopped by to pick up a trans. Looked good! Did you guys figure out the hood fitment issue yet?

Yeah...the hood fitment. I can't run the afm cover or i'm going to have to take off the hood insulation. It shouldn't be that big of a problem, considering the other hiccups we've had.Comment

First...who wants to give me the secret to the m30 bleeding?
I also need to do a valve adjustment, change the oil, and get the exhaust finished (they couldn't fit the welder in between the firewall and the exhaust).Comment

there's a bleeder screw near the thermostat,
get the nose up in the air as far as you can and if it still won't bleed all the air out...
back the car up a steep hill...
this has always worked for me....
I don't understand the reverse up a hill part but it works...Comment

Not sure if this will work on an M30, but on an M20, it works to (cold engine!) open the bleed screw, take off the coolant tank cap, and blow into the coolant tank. That's right - stick your kisser on the tank neck like playing the tuba. This is pretty gratifying because you can hear a lot of gurgling as all the air pockets purge out. When air stops coming out the bleed screw & coolant starts seeping out, close the bleed screw and top up the tank. Let me know if it works on the M30.
BTW Thanks for your PM.Comment

Thanks for the replies...what happened was the AC fan wasn't on and I wasn't getting any "windage" ha. So at idle it would heat up. Fixed now.
It was bled fine and runs at about the 1/4 mark. Thanks for all of the input.
