John, let me get this straight...you broke your finger while I was taking a dump at the strip club?
Goddammit man, wear your fucking helmet!Comment

hahaha no no, I broke it yesterday morning. I was getting the car ready to come off the trailer and it went on its own. I grabbed the tow strap and prevent it from rolling down the ramps but it was too heavy to hold alone for long, I held it for about 30 seconds while yelling for James or Joe but no one could hear me. So, It finally got to the ramps and I tried to slow I down with the tow straps and I did enough to let go and sprint to the car and pull the e-brake. I noticed however when I opened the door there was a finger laying in my palm.
I thought it was just dislocated so I reset it but I knew it was broken after the pain stayed after the reset. That was 11:30. I made an appointment at 3:15 and Funk dropped me off at some health care place that couldn't help, so they gave me directions to urgent care and sent to the metro.
Anyways James picked up me at 7:30 and we got to work and finished the front suspension, which you will see in a few minutes.

ALRIGHT, Here are some pictures from day 1 and 2.
Loading the car onto our kickass trailer, complete with surface rust, dented fenders, positive AND negative camber (its all about features baby), and one mismatched tire.. Needless to say she handled fantastic at 45MPH in the right lane of I-5 during a downpour...
John decided to take a, "group shot" of everybody during the drive down..yeah...thrilled.....
Navigating with sophisticated computer technologies
Uh Oh, damnit John, how many times do I need to tell you, leave the do..... yeah broken finger, amazing!
Yup, that does not appear to be correct, no sir, I don't like it.
Anyway, with John at the hospital I cranked up the music and continued working, yanking the front suspension.
Next, the cripple made me drive my ass across town and pick him up, bastard couldn't even take a cab! Either way, he decided to start helping and we began replacing the springs/shocks, front bearings, brakes, bushings, etc.
Yeah....check out my scar ladies
Front completely stripped for new front valance (I will repair the front core support later on)
Me forgetting that e28 brake calipers are on the front, not back...yeah took that strut back off a few min later..
Me pressing out bushings (with all 10 of my fingers) with the almighty press
John yanking shock number 2
The front strut CORRECTLY mounted this time
Next up, front wheel bearings
mmm sexy
90% completed front strut, (brake calipers had blown seals, so gotta tackle that tmmrw)
Overview of today's work, 90% of the front suspension is installed
More to come tommorrow!
