Two day update in a row, as I was too damn tired to do anything tomorrow.
Anyway, Mot and John are drinking and bitching at how I need to make this crap comical and entertaining! ANYWAY
Angry car on lift, I'm sure something important was being conducted at this time.
Anyway, Joe needed to do some other crap, such as run a business, so we got kicked to the curb..IE outside so I can turn the car from a granny shifting floor pan exploding not double clutching like you should automatic into a full raze 5 speed manual 200mph 10G sports car
BEFORE
AFTER
After that I had to tinker with the cluster, and swap out the lame ETA cluster to an I tach.
ooooh artsy, 280,000 EASY freeway miles
Next the donor car arrived, this would supply the engine for the car, the 2.7I stroker project was put on hold as the block needed to be bored and I didn't wnat to bother with oversizes pistons and/or a different block.
Hrm, not too bad, motor even had the original timing belt
This motor had original everything, timing belt, waterpump, etc, 100% untouched from the factory back in 1992
ANYWAY, while Chris/Joe pulled the motor out of the cabrio John and Luke tackled the rear wheel bearings, and installed the rear axles.
Tools required for entertainment, a big fucking impact, 200 dollars worth of random wheel bearing tools, and some other random bits (beer, etc)
KAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHN
Anyway, back to the motor, while they were having fun lubing the bearings..heh, I was working on resealing the motor and installing the new oil pan, timing belt, etc
ZERO cam wear, all nice and purdyyyy
Slowly cleaning the damn thing
And completed rear axles/bearings
THE NEXT DAY
Working on finishing up the motor, Chris and Joe were nice enough to finish up the top end of the motor for me (thanks guys) and even painted some kickass E30 motor mount arms (that won't work in the e28, but we will toss them on the racecar as they are AWESOME)
Motor almost completed, new seals (Everything except the headgasket)
While luke finished up the stereo and keyless entry John detailed the engine bay with his secret magical waxing compound.
next, we got the clutch all installed, pilot bearing, etc
Tom and Rick staring at the engine, getting ready to install it
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
ENGINE IS IN, ENGINE IS IN
Engine all installed, AND....
OMG the fucking thing runs...Driving tomorrow...More later.

alright, sorry for the delay, we finished up and were in a mad dash to get home.
Driveshaft/CSB installed

Rear brakes completed (this is before the new rear shocks/springs were installed)

Exhaust finished up

And the final product for now, we have a large oil leak coming from somewhere that John is looking at now, and need to modify the shift linkage a little it (and a detail, my god is the interior bad), but otherwise its running and driving very well, comfy as hell to, I love the damn car.

More to come at some point, buts 6 15+ hour days later, here she is!
