You are on an internet forum meant for cars. Instead of talking about cars, you make fun of people for not getting laid. You know that judging by the internet rule of thumb, this obviously means you haven't been laid and most likely "need perspective".

    stop feeding the fire man.

I'm not going to answer this on a public forum such as this one, but I've had a girlfriend before and I'm not a nerd like some of you may think.

I'm probably going to get grilled for responding to that comment but it had to be done to clarify that i've got perspective.

To clarify, I wasn't trying to stir the hornet's nest when asking about the firewall. I was just curious and hadn't seen if the issue had been resolved.

Its part of his motivation, so feed the fire guys, keep saying he cant do it, he'll just keep doing it and then win shows, while most of us wont get around doing routine maintenance.

Andrew if you ever get tired of redoing the engine let me know I have a brand new M30, all shiny and clean.
    Thank you for your compliments:D
Your M30 sounds tempting, but I like dealing with and restoring my own engine. It's fun to learn about this stuff and it will be best when it's finally done and I actually accelerate faster than my Mom's Prius.

I'm not reading the whole thread. But are you going to put in new rings and bearings? Might as well freshen it up since it is this far along.

if you rebuild the engine with as much research and detail you did to make the moonroof and a few other things in your car, you should be ok IMO. timewise yeah, take your time,
im watching this thread closely as i plan to do the same thing, so keep up the good work.

Agreed on both statements. I have a feeling it's something that will eventually be dropped off (along with a sack of money) at the nearest reputable BMW shop. Just my opinion though.
