$200 worth of a full upper gasket set, a full lower gasket set, and a new oil filter came today. I'm making sure every seal is replaced - much like Jean's engine, this one isn't going to leak. I left them in the package for now until I get to installing them.
I've also ordered the original TESA black cloth electrical tape that BMW uses. Nobody sells it except this guy in the UK who doesn't seem to want to ship to the US. So I had to ask my dealer about it and they don't have a specific part number for it, but it's what they used and still use for wiring harnesses and so the electrical workers in the mechanic shop are going to search for it. Kind of ridiculous...
