Yes...I totalled my M10 as well as I had to supply all documents to the insurance company and got 2 1/2 times what they initially offered me.

Paint, engine and tranny work and pictures are priceless. I would even prove to them that it was a show car :)

Seriously, be very careful with the rain here in Cali. Anyone can hydro ...and I'm talking about the other drivers not you. I don't care if the other driver's tires are brand new, under the right conditions, it will happen to anyone.

            The resto is sweet. Congrats.

I was also thinking, Alpina wheels are not OEM, if this is an OEM restore should you be getting euro weaves!!!!!!11@2uno
ah ha, but this is where you are wrong. Alpina wheels were an option also, just like Recaro seats weren't made by BMW, but they were offered. Alpinas were in fact an option. (Let me double check on it, but i'm %90 they were an option).
Here is a pic from a brochure I have, it has the Alpinas that aren't period correct for my car, they are the early kind with black centers, nonetheless, Alpinas in a BMW brochure.

In other news, I took off the US valence underneath like you guys suggested. Looks a whole lot better, didn't understand I was able to do it.
                            Front spoiler and bumper off

                            Valence off

This is the side of the fender, see how the hole there is what the valence used to screw into and allow the fenders to be held together. The front spoiler is held together in 4 places, two giant bolts on the front, and two smaller bolts that go through the hole the US valence used to go through. So the front spoiler holds the wings together perfectly. Didn't realize this on the initial instal and so I left the US valence.

Much more natural look. Needs fogs though :D

Fogs will set off that frontend like crazy.
