Got the licence-plates today. Found a number of things to do before I could start driving.
-First, ofcourse I had to mount the plates.
-Then cut a bit of the mountings for the seat so I could get it a bit lower.
-Adjusted the valves
-Changed the oil from 10W40 to 20W50 because the valves started making noise when the engine got warm.
-Changed the oil-level sensor, because the light in the check-panel didn't come of.
-Sanded the pins in a plug under the intake manifoil, because my temp-gauge went bananas.
I knew all along it would be a difference from 320 to 325, but the gap between those cars ar huuge!! The car have more than enough power to me for a while!
Well.. I have always thought it was something strange going on with the engine. Overheats and stuff, so I took the head off again and guess what? It's crooked (?). I have measured it, and i also can se a quite big strip of soot on the head itself, running out in the coolant-channel near cylinder 2.
So then I'll make it a bit better while I'm at it.
-The exhaust i already have. Made by Sebring with extractor and 2x2,5 inch pipes.
-I will port the head a bit.
-Hartge H35 chip
-New perfomance camshaft
-AFM from a M30B32, with the electronics from a M20 AFM.
-Fuel nozzles from the same M30
-Adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Think that was all.
So as you can see, the car isn't coming on the road this winter, but will be back strong for the summer! :)
I will also buy a new set of springs and shock absorbers for it. The ones that is mounted now is old and now very good, so I'll but new ones that lowers the car 60-40. Get more down to earth aswell! :)
Performance camshaft is on it's way in the mail from Pure Performance Factory in Sweden as we speak, and next month I will probably give the head to a company not far from where I live to get it level, pressuretested and to port the in/outlet channels.
Then I probably can start mounting it, because I have the fuel injectors and AFM lying around. I will probably need an adjustable cam pulley to make everything perfect with the new camshaft.
And I have learned that the Hartge H35 chip wont work since it's made for M30 engines, so I haven't found out what I can use yet, but that comes soon enough. I'm not stressing to get the car on the road before the summer anyway.
I will also order a powerfilter that fits inside the original filterhouse.
Btw the cam is a Z45 with 280 degrees, 11mm max opening and a 108 degrees peak angle.
Went bananas on the internet today and ordered crankshaft from M51D25 and tie rods from M20B20. With that, the engine displacement goes from 2,5l to 2,8l. :)
