Bad choice of spoiler, I agree. But to make up for that it had 2,7l twin turbo.. :D

Now I have stripped down the engine block, and it's is as good as new! (I think  ) I can still see the marks from the honing.

Now I am off to the garage to mount the crank shaft I picked up yesterday. Drove for 5 hours one way just to get it!
I will test fit it with old bearings to see how much I will have to take off the block, if I have to at all. Then order new bearings, sealing and gaskets after I have measured the surfaces on the crank.

I have also ordered a new clutch that can handle 258 hp and 242 ft/lbs. Think that will be enough for me! :)

I have assembled it now, and with 320i engine rods and the m51 crank, the m20b25 kat pistons is exactly the same at the top as it is was original, but the skirts on the pistons hits the crank when the piston is nearly at the bottom.

I have delivered the pistons to a man that will shave the skirts from them. From my measurements I find out that I'll have to shave off 14 (!) mm of the bottom.

Also I have found out that my comp ratio will be 10,8:1, which I think is awfully high, so I will buy a head gasket that is 0,3mm thicker. Then I will get 10,3:1.

Test fit it now. Then give it a thorough clean, and final assembly with new bearings etc later. If they fit that is..

Letting the pics speak for themselves. Engine is mounted, and in the car. I'm running with "only" 2,8 liters for now. Goes as hell! :D My buddy have a E28 M535i, and he recons I can beat him. I have driven it for about 1000 kilometers now, and now a strange sound comes from it.
Sounds like it's coming from the front of the engine, and it's a high frequent metallic scrape. I comes when I start it, but when I rev it a bit and drive, say 200 yards, it's gone. And doesn't come back until I'm idling for a while. Wondering what the hell can make tat noise.
I've taken some of it apart, but I'm non the wiser. Checked the rotor, water pump, generator, campulley and belt, but all of those are fine. Thought it was air in the coolingsystem that causes the waterpump to cavitate, but took the fanbelt of and started, so the generator and waterpump didn'n move, but the sound was still there.

I'm gone on work now, so I can't check on it untill wednesday, and it drives me mad!!

Tried a friends foam canon.. Cool as hell! ;D

By the way. If someone have a totaled E30 M3. PM me! :D Doesn't matter if the fron is smashed, as long as the rear end is intact.

One problem after another with this car!
First is that noise I have no clue what is. I can't hear it as much now thou.

And then I hit the bump in the road. Pics speak for them selves:

              New pan

Oilpump is also out. Checked if it could be the source of the strange sound, but couldn't hear anything when I spun it, so gues it's fine.

Next problem was that the old pan was from a E34 525i. And they have the dipstick in the pan itself. The new one came from a E30 325i, and they have the dipstick in the block. Found a hole that was plugged in the block, and started to try getting it out. Turns out it was put there to stay there. But after a bit of swearing, hammering and a bit more swearing i came out. :D

E30 vs E34 dipstick. E30 at the bottom.

The gasket was a hell to make stay in place, but I managed to get it there eventually.

Car worked fine.. That is untill I ran out of petrol and burned my fuelpump!! Arrrrggghh!

The car is running fine now. I have swapped to 535i fuel injectors, but doesn't have a adapter to mount a air filter on the afm. So it gets a lot on petrol now! :D

Anyways. Today I got my new rims. They are not very good looking yet, but with a bit of refurbishing I think they will be fine. The rims are 3 split 17x8 OZ Mito. I will buy two new outer rings, and possibly one inner ring, as one is cracked. But I will try to weld it first.

The reason I bought them, was that they are dirt cheap. New they cost little more than $3200. I paid $240. :D

                The crack:

I think that is cool to hear.

Well. The first post is made two years ago, so I'm 19 years now. :)

And, finally I have fixed the front bumper! It was about time!! :D
The spots on the ground is from a little oil leak. The seal at the fromt of the camshaft is no quite good, but I don't care since I'll probably mount the new head this winter anyway. :D

The side indicators have been blacked out, economy-style. Won't ever share how I did it. :)

                            Sell me the Mitos!!

Seriously. I could use a set of those, and it doesn't look like you have a use for 5x120 wheels. I could even trade you the 15" 3-piece OZ Fittipaldi Fittistars in my sig. :)

Hell no. I'm not selling the Mito's! :) If all my plans comes to life, this will be a M3 in a few years. My plan is to buy a crashed M3 and rebuild the body on this one. Then I will have 5-lug. :)
