I wanted to keep the pebble effect - and I actually found a link for the exact paint when in work one day - and haven't been able to find it since! The guys used schulz paint/sealant on the underbody and around the skirts, which is kind of similar - not exact. I was able to sand off most of it when I needed to get back to metal though.

I'm not too worried now as it'll be covered up - and protected. The skirts are being bonded on - I didn't want any unnecessary holes being put into a car of its age :D

so for the most part you can just sand it all off? I need to do this to my car as I don't have an mtech kit to cover it up. Cool article btw

Yep exactly - I needed to remove some of it off near the rear valance when I was doing the work myself. Came off ok - was slightly rubbery in texture.

Have started gathering a few more parts for this now. Made my mind up on the wheels - and settled for 15 inch BBS cross spokes. They're in good condition, but will have them refurbished.

Have bought a set of mintex pads - will get new discs and calipers soon enough. May decide to go with a BBk up front at some stage, but stock brakes will do for now!

A few more up to date photos - I'll be popping over tomorrow morning with some extra trim bits so they can finish up. Quite excited about it now - my new wheels will be going on soon too.

Some more flattening and polishing going on! Put through yet another order for parts today as well - trim pieces, clips etc and the template to drill for the skirts.

Cheers guys. The lads are doing a great job on it - am looking forward to seeing it off the ramp and on the BBS's! Or maybe I'm not - the suspension will be quite high :D

Just to guage some opinion from you guys -

I'm putting the 15inch BBS wheels on the car, but am still open to something different at some stage.

The other options are new OEM 16 inch Alpina wheels, or my preferred option is a full swap in of E30 M3 suspension components, and fitting the 16 inch BBS wheels. Anyone think the latter option is complete overkill?
