I am not a purist by any means... but I have to vote no on that color. Neat color, but I just don't see a stock bodied E30 pulling it off. Now if you had a crazy wide body then you can do any color you want!

I have a very clear vision for what the car will look like. That vision is a white touring car. Occasionally there are distractions which is why it is sometimes necessary to be reminded by others.
I won't regret white...I would probably regret orange. I'm old and like safe choices. :D-Josh

Sucks about tuition though. You end up getting that co-op?

I have someone willing to photoshop it with my th monos so that may help the wavering that is going on.
What say you all?

I have to agree with everyone else here. I toyed with the idea of the e36 byzanz orange for my car, but I ended up sticking with the stock color and I'm glad I did.
I'm laughing right now that my coworkers are upset at my decision to keep the car white. They are under the impression that a bunch of people on the intrawebz that I don't know are more important than their decision. I'm enjoying perpetuating this perception.-Josh

Awesome swap thead, subbing. This will help immensely with my current swap... and even a bit with the body work and painting. Thank you for taking the time to document it. Much appreciated by a bunch of us I'm sure.
I'll be posting my own project thread, but due to budgetary constraints... will not progress as fast as yours."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."

Got the new thermostat and aluminum thermostat housing in the mail today. I might slap that on the engine sometime this week and snap a few pics.
I'm looking forward to seeing the car this weekend. I miss just being able to go out into the garage a look at it. A buddy of mine just got his latest project car, a volvo p1800 so I've been listening to his plans for it. I might have to drive over to his house to look at it and take my mind off my car for a while.-Josh

Well, I am hoping to have mine body work done by the end of this year and have the swap completed and interior stuff done by next spring. But... who knows what will happen between now and then.
Looking forward to your update after you see her this upcoming weekend."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."

If you have an inclination to go with a non-stock color, have you considered a pearl white? I have always loved that color. Cool thing is you can go with a blue or gold tint to it, which will give a MUCH different look depending on which one you choose. I think that could definitely be pulled off by your car!
