And good idea about having a new header/logo too. Something more than an M3-winged E30 would be cool. Maybe even *new* stickers to mirror the new logo?

The talks about adding more areas for other chassis (E36, etc) isn't a bad idea either. Maybe could save that for the change in forum software though?

That's a good idea Panici (redirecting the base URL to the forums), since the homepage hasn't been updated in 14 years lol.

I intended to make an analysis of the subforums that are slow/inactive, to roll into their main parent forums, but the holidays have gotten the better of me so far.

Important to take some time away from everything on the holidays! Hoping to get some E30 wrench time in myself next week.


I wonder if there is a way to maintain granularity for the old threads that are moved.
Possible to do a batch rename on thread titles to append the old subforum name?
Or maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Slowly but surely. We added the N52/N54 forum today, organized a few legacy forums (Pro3 for example and removed it). Also upgraded to PHP 8 which should have some performance advantages.

I moved some threads over to the new N52/N54 subforum.

Thoughts about rolling some of the subforums into the main?
For example in "Appearance & Cosmetic", posts can be made in the main forum as well as the four subforums.




Another thought which may be an easy win: Change the r3vlimited.com main static landing page to https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/index.php

If you want to keep the link to the "Tech" page from the static site, perhaps replacing the (empty) "Blogs" and "Articles" sections below the top-of-page logo?

Just noticed some changes (additions/reorganizations) and the speed and page load seem to have pretty great improvements over just a few days ago. Thanks for all your work and time on this James and crew.
