Ouch dude. That looks like it hurt pretty bad. Do you wear a helmet at least? They aren't uncool anymore like when you were a kid on a bike :)

Nah, but I luckily avoided any cranial damage. I probably will get one, I always wear one when I'm out on my bike.

It hurts more now than it did yesterday! My arms and legs are on fire.

I know, I was really lucky I didn't hit my head, as fast as I was going. In the future, anytime I'm out bombing hills, I will be wearing one for sure.

Ouch, showers are your main enemy now. I had a massive gouge on my hip that took over 3 weeks to close up, 30mph fall-fail . Just get a new baseplate for now, its cheap.

Nah, I'm not doing anymore hills or carving with those trucks. They don't turn nearly well enough to be effective. I'm just going to wait and get proper longboard trucks.

Longboarding is lots of fun. Tons of people longboard to class here at UW. I still think bike riding is more fun though.

personally i'm not nimble enough to bail if need be, fucked ankle won't let me run no mores :( ... so i'm all about the long-bikes instead:

sweet boards though. i'm gonna have to stick to only enjoying the carving when there's snow on the hills

..and if anyone wants a RED flat black helmet, practically brand new, hasn't been worn even once but has some marks from rollin around in the bimmer's truck, $60 shipped.

Fuck. My wife just pulled off all my bandages to redo them, and the one on my leg pulled a bunch of ink out of the leading edges of my tattoo that got road-rashed. Luckily it was pretty small areas, but everything still looks very black, it's from the antibiotic ointment, which is petroleum-based, that's why you should never use Vaseline on new tattoos. Nothing that can't be fixed, though.

hey quick question, how much flex does that board have on it?

Considering the shape and amount of layers probably very little. It's typically the shorter convex boards that have a lot of flex.

Not much, Turf is right. I don't think it was intended to be a downill-er.

I was going to chime in on that note. Helmets are a must for highspeed longboarding. My father passed away after a longboarding accident in 2006. He was going about 25mph when he hit something and hit his head on the pavement. Be safe guys!

On that note, I've got a pretty nice electric longboard :)

Damn Chris, I'm sorry to hear about that. Makes me even more determined to wear one from now on.
