So today, Andy and I found a seriously awesome stretch of highway to bomb down. Very little traffic, we were actually able to ride right down the lane without having to worry about being run over. Here's a shot of me near the top, video to come later. I should also mention I topped out at 41 mph bombing this hill... :D

None to speak of. Some very faint ones when carving at high speed, but nothing that I can't bring under control.

I bet if I start pushing from the top of that hill, I can hit 45.

Those speeds scare me. I predict Josh will be on a street luge trying to pull Biker Sherlock moves.

I would LOVE to try street luging. Either that or skeleton on ice.

It's so unbelievably fun, I can't even describe it. It feels like you're not even touching the ground.

The looks on people's faces in the oncoming lane are priceless, too. I thought this one old woman was going to faint, it was hilarious.

Do you pull any slides throughout your runs? or do you just foot brake? You can make some gloves really easily, mine are work gloves with cutting board melted to the hands. They work just as well as my friends loaded gloves. Sliding is so much fun and it is also a good way to stop incase a car pulls out. I was looking at getting a LY board but got a hook through a rider for Loader so couldnt pass it up

I haven't tried sliding yet, my wheels are too grippy for it. I might try learning to slide soon, I need harder wheels, though.

I've bombed hills in sf with my skateboard. THAT's sketchy. I want a longboard now! Janderson you're making me super jealous! Looks like so much fun!

yeahh i have some sticky wheels and it makes it wicked hard sometimes and causes crashes too ha. Just buy some super cheapo hard ass wheels and just go out and practice. It is scary at first but as long as you stay committed then you will be fine! Its so much fun and especially when people see you, they think oh shit! he is falling and then you spin around and get back up

Cleaned up my Sector 9 board tonight. 3 coats of Meguiar's wax on the bottom and scrubbed the grip clean. Also cleaned the wheels/bearings and lubed the bearings with Tri-flow. All ready for the race this weekend in Salem!

Andrew and I ran our first race this weekend, a 6-mile night race through Salem, Oregon. All went very smoothly with the exception of being pulled over by the cops for blowing through a stop sign, and threatened with jail for attempting to elude an officer!

We had a great time, here's a shot of the group at the end of the race:
