The Bible clearly states that adulterers should be stoned to death, children that talk back to their parents should be stoned to death, one should sacrifice their child to God, God is justified in laying waste to entire cities, homosexuals are going to hell, slavery is ok, women should always be subservient to men. Maybe you should read the Bible in full instead of conveniently glossing over these glaring immoral acts condoned within it.

first of all, religion doesn't kill people. people kill people. it is unfortunate that some people have interpreted the literature of their particular religion in order to kill others. i know what the bible says, and most denominations of christianity agree that it is not to be taken literally. also, i never said that there was nothing wrong with religion. there are tons of things wrong with each religion, depending on one's particular viewpoint. there is no need to denounce it as the root of all evil and hatred, though, which is basically what you are trying to get at.

This post is complete jibberish. I might as well be talking to a kindergartner. Where did you hear that science has disproven evolution, from your sunday school teacher? Evolution is as close to fact as any other scientific theory. There is overwhelming evidence in support of evolution. Pope John Paul himself even endorsed evolution AND the Big Bang as science fact. Fuck man, get out of this thread.

I do find it rather interesting how you like to take bit and pieces of information and use them as you wish. Most times out of context. Seriously man I was not promoting this or that. I have done my research, read tons of book from many different sources and what I have found is what I have found. I don't press my ideas, thoughts, or beliefs on anyone. All I was saying is that look at everything.
