My roommates don't let me watch Fox when they're in the room since they're a bunch of liberal whiners.

I am very conservative and watch Fox pretty much exclusively. That said, I don't like Glenn Beck much. Partly because he has an odd way of analyzing stuff and I don't think he explains his logic well - makes me think that he isn't really that bright. Hard to pinpoint exactly.
He's sort of like Sean Hannity - another guy I don't care for. Sean seems to want to talk/shout over people, and when he resorts to the "you're not a patriot, you're not a good American..." schtick, I have to change the channel.
I guess I am saying I prefer people who can present/explain/defend conservative positions with more clarity and less shouting and rambling. I think those types are more persuasive to viewers who are trying to learn and understand.
The absolute best, in my opinion, was Tony Snow, God rest his soul. And I wish Charles Krauthammer had his own hour on Fox, instead of just his panel role each night. The guy is brilliant.

If I had a really big head, a super big ego, low IQ, high blood pressure and was 50+, I would not be cleaning pools. I would be getting angry on fox news everyday. They pay those blowhards way too much money, but apparently, there is a huge audience for that kind of stuff.
this is pretty stupid, but . . .

That is a good example of why I don't like Beck or Hannity - they are pretty divisive, so I can hardly argue their case (even when they have a good point) to those who hate them. All they do is muddy the conservative message so that people aren't able to truly get the points. I just roll my eyes.
But, I won't go so far as to say Beck or Hannity are as embarrasing and moronic as Olberman, Matthews, Maddow, Maher, et al. If I were a liberal, I would be rolling my eyes at them.
Watch Tony Snow on the Bill Maher show. He is calm, polite, reasoned and well spoken despite being the lone conservative on the panel. Compare him to the guy from Rolling Stone - does he offer ANYTHING of substance in the discussion? No. So why do people like that get exposure? Baffles me.
There are too many of those Rolling Stone types on both sides. You may not agree with Tony and his points, but he at least comes across as someone who has carefully considered the issues.
