Thanks guys. It rides awesome. Without the fairings, its much more enjoyable. I probably stripped off 50 lbs of 'stuff'.
I still have the CB550. I cant seem to the tuning right though. So its going into winter status mode. Picked up a SuperSport tank for it, pod filters, new gauges, all sorts of shit. Still not running properly. Oh well. K100 does tho! :)
Here she is all cosmetically finished. I dropped the forks a bit more and added an "EZ clutch" mechanism inside the primary to alleviate the goddamn rock hard clutch lever. I may eventually lose the turn signals, but while I'm still getting used to riding, I plan to keep it safe. I still need to get my motorcycle endorsemet to keep it legal.
I had been thinking about doing a bobber for many years. I rode with a coworker to the Harley shop in June to pick up his new "fatboy." I saw the blacked out 883 "irons" and thought they were sick. I decided to build my own for 1/6 the price. I picked up this '99 Sportster (essentially the same base as the Iron) for $2200 running great. I put another $600 in it and what you see is the product. I'm pretty happy with it and look forward to some riding!

Very cool. I'd say that $2200 is a great deal for that bike. I'd like to build a sportster with some rearsets and clip ons in the future.
Lof8, looks awesome man. What a transformation. Love the Black/White contrasting color scheme. The rear looks a bit unfinished, but damn what a good lookin bike. Good job on the wheels. Look great black!
