I have the NYT, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, and BBC news feeds on my home page; and I've been following it pretty closely.
I'm really surprised the Ayatollah is coming out in support of a probe into it. I think he's really just buying time now that his people are up in arms over the election.
Polls before hand showed a big lead for Mousavi and when it comes down to election day its a landslide for Amedinajhad(sp?)? A 40-50 percent swing from pre-election polls is pretty unheard of.
I hope the opposition wins, yay civil liberties and women's rights!
We need another 1979 revolution over there, since most of the countries citizens are pro-west. Get the theocrats out of there and let the secular peoples rule!
I always kinda wondered why bush wanted to attack Iran so badly, it's the leadership thats the problem not the people. A bombing campaign or invasion would only indoctrinate people against western ideals.
A pro-western democracy of Iran's size and power would be a huge boon for the US and our interests in the area. -
