    eBay advice: Possible buyer scam?

    Alright so here's the deal.

On Sunday I submitted a best offer for a brand new M5 clutch. On Monday the company accepted my offer/terms.

They offer payments with Paypal, CC, etc. Since my Paypal is low, I submitted to eBay that I would pay with CC and e-mailed the company stating the same (even though I'm sure eBay notifies them of my decision as well)

Now, I am skeptical about e-mailing CC info over an e-mail. It's stuff that gets saved on inboxes, foldered, and so on. Unless I have successfully bought from a company a handful of times, I don't like to have my CC info saved, so on Monday, I e-mailed the company also asking if it's possible to pay over the phone with CC.

Tuesday comes. No response. I follow up asking again if it's ok to pay by phone.

Wednesday comes. No response. I follow up AGAIN as I am not in URGENT need for this, but I'm definately not wanting to leave a clutch swap for the last minute.

No e-mail sent today. But tonight I received an auto notification from eBay (with the company's e-mail as the sender) asking me to pay for the clutch.

I instantly replied off my iPhone reminding them that this is my 4th e-mail asking if it's OK to pay by phone.

    No response....yet.

Seriously, at this point I rather pay $50 more to another competitor who is actually able to communicate. Had they replied instantly on Monday saying it's against company policies or that they don't use phones, then what the hell. I would've probably paid just because the response time is quick.

Their feedback for anyone wondering is 100% with 68 feedbacks.

After all this non-communication, I'm hesitant to pay at all.

    What say you?

Who is it? I had a problem with a clutch through a seller on ebay as well. It took 4 months to get the right clutch.

Add the CC to your paypal?

That's what I was going to suggest. I think all he has to do is enter his credit card info in ebay checkout and that's it.

That would be the common way to do it versus trying to pay over phone or through email.

You know they are going to say "you should have asked about payment options before you purchased". I'm sure as soon as you pay up they'll send it out - assuming you bought from someone with good feedback.

Ya, add your bank account to your PayPal account and when you use your PP account to buy stuff, it will automatically take funds out of said bank account to pay if there are not enough funds in your PP to cover the purchase.

Wouldn't it take 4 days for the payment to clear that way? I already have an account linked to Paypal that I could use, but the time it takes for those payments to process are a pain.

I know some accounts take 4 days to transfer and process the money, while others don't.
                        My account transfer money immediately.

What's weird though is that I've had my PayPal account for almost 4 years now, and there was a period of about one year or so where it took 4 days to process the money transfer. Before that, it had never happened before, and one day it just randomly stopped and would transfer money immediately. I have no clue why, and PayPal's customer service couldn't give me a definite answer.

Always been under the impression that if the majority of the payment was coming from the bank, it would automatically take 4 days (just like it takes 4 days to transfer funds)
