This is a 140+ page document, it's distributed to the top 10% of the church population. Tells what to do about anything/everything.
I was skimming through that book, and I can tell you without a doubt, it's not distributed to the top 10% of the church. There's nothing really special about the information contained in there(well at least not to me) but it's more along the lines of "The Idiots Guide on how to be a Bishop/Stake President In the Mormon Religion." I'm guessing these are distributed to new Bishops or Stake Presidents when they are appointed.

There are literally handbooks and guides for everything, from teaching lessons on the Book of Mormon, to how to be a missionary.

So everyone knows what to do with unwed mothers, members whom need medical assistance, HIV+ members, disasso0ciation of Missionaries, how High Priests are elected, etc.

Farbin, if what you're saying is true, it just might be that you've proven that religious people believe a bunch of wacky shit. When this gets out, just think of the repercussions. I am going to pm the admins to delete my posts so that I cannot be linked to this revelation. Godspeed.

my .02 cents, since I live in the MoRmaN capital of the world, is that MOST, but not all, mormons are genuinely nice people, they will usually help out if you ask, and they don't swear.. much, I've heard a slip here or there.

Everyone and everything here is mormon, starting with jobs. I'm into acting, and I get emails from my agent for gigs, well sometimes the email states specifically that in order to audition you have to be a "worthy LDS member in GOOD STANDING with your bishop" which makes them look like elitist.

Also, I've been asked if I'm mormon at some job interviews, and i'm pretty damn sure I've been rejected from a position because I said no.

However, here in SLC, people actually pride themselves in saying "I'm not a mormon", it's like this underground thing within the 20-35 year olds where we go to clubs and or parties and we know we don't have to worry about offending anyone, because we all are catholic and christian or whatever else, but not mormon.

Either way, mormonism here controls everything, bars, clubs, etc, which I find hypocritical when they don't allow caffeine but serve alcohol at their establishments.

Off the beaten path, the mormon girls are usually really good looking, don't ask me why, so it's not all bad.

One of my classmates in high school attended a local mormon church.

I drove by his church one day and noticed that there were no windows anywhere on the building. It was all solid brick, like a fortress.

I thought it was weird, so I asked him about it the next time I saw him.

He said they used to have windows, but people kept driving by and shooting them out.

                  That's actually illegal.

You cannot ask about personal life, religion, sexual preference (mine is hot female blond's in case you are wondering), ethnicity, etc, during a job interview. They can only ask about relevant questions concerning your ability to do the job that they are interviewing for. Now if the job was to be a "prophet" for the church, well then maybe that question would be valid. Otherwise, it isn't.

If it ever come up again, you can tell them that it isn't relevant and if they think it is, then you are probably better off working somewhere else. But if they persist, you should be able to take it to the local attorney general and get them fined.

I have a lot of family that is part of the "revised" LDS. They are not nearly as wacky and strict, but they do teach the extra books of the bible that John Smith (is that the right name?) came up with. It was always a bit weird during a funeral or wedding to have one of my uncle's (who is ordained) start talking about what somebody said in one of these exclusivly Morman books of the bible. The book of Fred??? What?

They can be a little pushy about their religion, but that is no different than any other case. They are one and all good people though.

My best buddy while I was on active duty in the Army was excomunicated, or whatever they call it, for not wearing the proper clothes to church. I suspect there was more to it than that. He didn't have a lot good to say about the church. He grew up in a place called Herriman, Utah. It is very much a church town, or was back then. He used to complain about the tithing. If you didn't pay your 10% of your earnings, they would show up at your door to collect. In some of these small towns, they would even try to collect if you were not a member.

If you wonder how they make such nice churches, the tithing is all it takes. And that is also, in my opinion, why they are so aggressive about recruiting and make it somewhat cult-like. The more people the have and keep, the more money keeps rolling in. The church becomes your community, your life so to speak. They can keep control that way.

I knew a extremely hot Mormon chick back in highschool.

She moved to Utah and married some other Mormon when she graduated.

What about the undies, I hear it's a $500,000,000.00 a year form of income for the CoJCoLDS.

i just broke up with a girl who is mormon. she goes to school at BYU-I in rexburg. it was an interesting experience for various reasons.

also, my dad was raised mormon, went on his mission to france, and in his words "met french women and learned about wine", and was not mormon shortly after his return. his mothers side of the family is all mormon.

i tend to get along with mormons because we maintain a lot of the same core non-religious beliefs regarding healthy living and courtesy, but there are some pretty big discrepancies in other places...
