Is everyone on bf.c this stubborn/stupid, or...

    Am I just completely wrong?
So I go on bf.c for the first time in a long time (after seeing the thread on here linking to the NSA texts prank) and I noticed a thread about paracord bracelets. After first seeing them on here (in the knife thread I think) I became interested in making one, and so gained some knowledge of them. Thought I'd help out the fellows over on bf.c (big mistake), by saying that they can be made cheaper than the $15 that the guys was trying to sell them for. Here's the thread:
Bimmerforums is the preferred online BMW Forum and community for BMW owners. At Bimmerforums, you will find technical how-to information maintenance specifics audio advice wheel and tire combinations and model specific details not found anywhere else. Our professionals are here to help make sure you find the answers you need to your questions and our community is here to help other brainstorm ideas for the future.

Finally gave up trying to convince them after noticing that the OP had an E36 and an E46 (I think we all feel generally the same about that crowd).
    So, what does r3v think?

I dunno. I see your point, but a lot of people would just be happy buying one. Just drop it dude. It's not exactly a lot of money to pay for something you don't have to think about and have someone else make for you.

that said can you give that link again? I want to know what I could make!

Personally, I think you were way out of line. The guy is selling a product he makes for a reasonable price and you shit all over his thread. Yes, anyone could make one cheaper if they wanted to, but that doesn't mean he is ripping people off for selling them for that much.

I think if you would have done this on R3v, you would have been banned and all your posts in the guys thread would have been deleted. It's just not cool.

OP - are you serious? I can't believe you even posted that. That's like going to a store, seeing someone buy toilet paper for $5 and you step in to tell them they can buy it somewhere else for $3....

yeah seriously. wtf? he's charging $10 + shipping. I don't think that's unreasonable. Now if it were $20 then perhaps but it still doesn't give you a license to crap on his thread.

By the way, can you make a Motorsport tri color keychain out of paracord? I'd pay $10 for that.

A few of the stanceworks guys are on here as well. It's a group of guys who take pride in having extremely well fitted wheels, stretched tires and lowered suspension, couple really nice cars in that group.

I really don't get the animosity towards BFC or e36 owners. I'm on both forums, I own an e36 and an e30, they're both old German pieces of crap. We're not all elitists, in fact very few people on there are.

OP you called a seller out in his own thread. You're acting like he was ripping everyone off with his humble $15 price tag. $5 to ship, 3.5% in paypal fee's that leaves $9.65. $9.65 to acquire materials, take the time to make the bracelet, copy buyer info, answer however many stupid questions he gets, and bring the finished product to ups. Not exactly ripping people off, he came up with a good idea, he's investing money, and time, profit is to be expected.

He actually charged for the shipping cost, though, so it would be $14.48, but that is beside the point. I wasn't trying to call him out, I just stated that they could be made cheaper if people wanted to do their own work. That's probably most important; I was letting people know that they could be made rather than bought. And he didn't come up with the idea. Paracord bracelets have been around a while, as I said in the thread.
And for the record I like E36s, but E46s are a whole different story.

OP you are a total douche.
Ever think that people DON'T want to do their own work and/or they would want to support someone who is making an effort to raise money for himself.
Think about that next time before continually shitting on someone's thread.
