I hate tow truck drivers. The service is over priced cause they know they have you by the balls, (or insurance will pay for it.)

I once paid $80 for a 5 mile tow that took him 15 mins. Fuck you grease monkeys - you are not worth $320 an hour - and I don't care how may little old ladies by the side of the road you help.

And while I'm at it - tow truck drivers need to work on their fucking customer service. Instead of getting out of your "rig" with the look on your face of "oh no, not another one, I hate my job" - put on a fucking smile, and ask what you can do to help me today. At that point my day is already shitty - I don't need you adding to it.

Not only do they get you with the initial tow, try having your car sit in one of their lots for a couple days. I had to pay $80.00 a day as my totaled Ranger sat in an empty lot while I tried to find a salvage yard to take it away. I was out of town when all of this happened (shitty winter freak accident, 2wd ranger), and the whole ordeal ended up costing me almost a grand. ("emergency" towing, lot storage fee, 3 nights hotel, hospital visit.)

I dodged a bullet when I totalled my last car, the driver was very friendly.

Tow truck drivers are kind of like cops. Not all of them are tools, but the bad ones are the ones that get talked about more.

I couldn't care less about your misguided generalizations, the last tow truck driver I dealt with was chill as fuck. I did not have to pay to use the impound lot overnight, I did not have to pay for the tow or recovery time (about an hour) of my car, I did not have to pay for the off-the-record tow to a friend's house the next day, all because I was friendly with the guy and explained my situation.
