I've played Cloud land Canyon, and the sinks. I liked both. Scabzzzz Franklin opened a new course in Franklin. I'm going to try it tonight.

disc golf. a sport similar to real ball golf. Nearly all the lingo is the same (birdies, drivers, approach etc.) except you throw a disc into a chained basket. no spam or pineapple involved so i can see how it may be difficult ;)

Well then you should know about it. I live on the eastern shore and we have a 27 hole course here that just got new Innova baskets for the front 18. The back 9 has fiberglass baskets made by a local player(Toby Murray). Lots of woods a couple open shots, real flat, lots of vines. Here are some pics of the Murray baskets

We also have several private courses on the shore, a 9 hole that we regularly have monthlies at(really like 12 holes w/alternates), a 18 hole with mostly homemade baskets, and a 6800ft 18hole at the YMCA camp in Silver Beach.

I think Frolf is more of a west coast name for it, we always use disc golf or usually just DG. Get out and play!

                An older prototype pic

                Sorry for the huge pics

^^^ Those baskets are great! Does this local player make them for sale? I'd like to get a putting basket for my front yard to practice on. I'm going to have to check out VA

Hell yeah he sells them. Here is his website, its pretty new but it has his contact numbers on it. Tell him Brian Bogan sent you. http://www.murraydiscgolf.com/

Here is the Eastern Shore Disc Golf website if you ever make it out this way.

I've also got some info on the courses out west in VA like Harrisonburg, Staunton, and Charlottesville.

Here's the wife at Bennet Creek Park in Suffolk, VA

hey, what kind of putter do you use? I've been experimenting with Omega, but I see a lot of people throwing Aviars, and Pro Pigs

I throw a JK Pro Aviar-X. I also have a couple regular Aviars in different plastics. The Pig is real popular also the dart is a sweet disc for putter driving. Our home course is real low and technical so I throw my buzzz and JK Aviar 80% of the time.

By the way the Discraft Buzzz is the best disc ever!! It has the most recorded Aces out of any disc.

I play several times a week. I've been playing at the first disc golf course EVER. Oak Grove park in Pasadena, CA. I'm obsessed.
