I'm in the office going to get food and I walk past my colleague and the following conversation ensues:

him: hey christophe, i saw an m3 that was your model this weekend
me: o really? thats cool, i like those
him: ya, it was red and had that huge wing on the back.
me: i really want one of those, but they're expensive.
him: how much do they go for?
me: like 20k atleast for a decent one
him: that sucks, for 20k you could get a real m3 like Nicks (Nick has an E46 M3)

Not a surprise. I saw a few people I went to HS with at a bar a few weeks ago. I haven't seen them for like 5 years now. we were talking and I told them about my job etc, but one guy kept asking me when I was going to ditch my old crappy m3 and get a new "good" one.

I tried to explain how e30 m3's are ftw, but they didn't understand, they just saw "old"

I don't think he was using French Canadian as a pejorative. It just so happened this guy was French Canadian, and a moron for not understanding that a 192 bhp, 2800 lb car with a huge wing is far better than one that has nearly triple the output and draws in women like the Death Star's tractor beam.
