Can't wait for this sticky weather to leave us...Haha, I think the weather has a lot to do with how ya feel. Around here it was humid as heck, upper 80s, and pretty uncomfortable outside. But, when the weather turns and the humidity disappears, that is when you're glad just to mow the lawn and sip some quality brew.
I'm not sure if you get Harpoon down there, but Harpoon makes a pretty satisfying Octoberfest as well. I prefer it to Sam Octoberfest. The pumpkin ales are starting to hit the shelves, too! :D
When I saw you mentioning Harpoon I saw you were from Mass and was wondering if you've ever had any Wachusett? They are about a five minute drive from where I live and there is quite the following around here...1988 325i Vert

Skyline road in pdx and nearly all the roads between in and HWY 30 make me glad to be alive; Often, in more way's than one.

Sure! I like the idea of supporting local breweries, because they usually have the freshest product. Sadly, I haven't had a Wachusett product that I've really liked yet.
I've had the Nut Brown (bottle), the IPA (bottle), Blueberry (on-tap), and the Black Shack Porter (bottle). Their brown ale was actually good, but generally, I like hoppier, fuller bodied beers.

Hmm. If you're wrong, it just means that I'm already enjoying the best beer known to man. If I'm wrong, it just means that beer gets even better, and that's great news. Either way, I win.
Now, you are going to have to prove that to me, so hit me via PM and I'll give you my addy. ;) OR I'll just have to make a road trip to TN to score some.

That might be true, in comparison to the PBR and High Life you lustfully guzzle like the discharge from a diseased penis, but Paulaner Oktoberfest is just another satisfying beer. Not bad, not the ultimate expression of beer, either.-OVULATOR (as named by jflip2002)
