on to the next one's decent, but it's a little beat heavy for me. all the other songs are good, but i could've done without young jeezy on real as it gets and hate ft kanye was pretty disappointing. At the moment it would probably be On To the Next One. Catchy, heavy beat and easy to sing along with. Great stuff for clubs, parties, etc.
Empire State of Mind is good too, and I do like Thank You and Run This Town.
On a side note I'm a fan of everything from Gang Starr to G-Unit, Rakim to Weezy. Old school hip-hop is personally my favorite but I can definitely appreciate the new stuff designed for dancing and having fun. Music is meant to be enjoyed, not judged.
i hate g-unit and weezy, but rakim is good shit.

simple minded people amuse me.
Mainstream rap sucks a fat dick, jayz is a sell out just like lil wayne and a thousand more rappers that appear on mtv. Always pushing the same bullshit materialism and lacking of any real substance or value.Comment

i'm wearing a hiero shirt as i write this. jay is a talent and has pushed hip hop to new heights. he had the balls to start his own record company to get his 1st album out and he admits that with vol.1-3 he was trying to get his name out a bit more with the singles, which he regrets. however, you can't tell me blueprint, reasonable doubt, the black album, and american gangster were all mainstream garbage.Del the funky homosapien and Dan the automator = genius

Ive never been a fan of his style...it annoys me. He can flow, but he flows bullshit. That dude is a sell out no doubt. Sold his soul a long time ago.
Hiero is an ill crew. Unfortunately not everyone can truly listen to the sound of rap, and truly give it a chance to understand the meaning behind the lyrics. But on that note these days what is being pushed by all the mainstream record labels is the same materialistic nonsense. People are quick to judge a book by its cover, but thats life, and we all have different tastes.Comment

kingdom come was his worst album. did you even listen to american gangster? it was dope as fuck

yeah I listened to it and I was dissapointed....Reasonable doubt was his best, vol. 1 was sick, vol. 2 was underrated, vol. 3 was the beginning of the end with hard knock life, but he did have some banger's on it...r.lo.f. was allllright but it was really beenie and his other dudes on it that made it hot....blueprint was dope but once again it was due to the guests and he was trying to kill it on Nas which is a nono:tsk: to me 'cause I used to live in jamaica when I was younger even though I went to school in bed stuy. Blueprint 2 I knew it was over for him, but I couldn't help but like some of the tracks on the album and the same for kingdom come....american gangster was him 'trying' to get back to his reasonable doubt style but it's not happening....he's been drinking too much armadale!
