The plan for grades 7-12 includes a "guided discussion," with suggested topics: "What resonated with you from President Obama's speech? What is President Obama inspiring you to do?"

It's basically trying to push his ideals and his image onto the susceptible minds of the young generation, the vast majority of them don't know any better and will follow this hook, line, and sinker.

Interesting. I thought that the school system was supposed to be apolitical, and that the president was supposed to represent all Americans. I also thought that the defeated Republican candidate to the white House had asked all Republicans to support Obama rebuild America...

My point being that Obama's schooling plan is an American plan and that Republican parents keeping kids at home is a) retarded b) a total deny of democracy.

Sure, partisan politics should be kept out of the schooling system. And Obama's speech is not partisanery. He was rightfully elected and he now represents all Americans.
