It's a scam, same shit happened to me, guy was out of the country, won the auction then a tow truck driving calling the next day saying he's on the way to pick it up. It was a 190 2.3 16V car. They kept calling me for a week from out of the country. I told them to fuck off.

Wouldn't a bank transfer be safer than a Paypal?

At least, with a bank transfer, money cannot be removed/reversed, and you know who owns the other bank account.

I am not sure it can't be reversed. And what's more, you have to give your account number for that . . .

I'm protected when his funds aren't legit. They go after him - not me. I confirmed this, too. I'm pretty sure it's legit at this point. The guy paid the actual amount for the car and hasn't tried anything fishy. I also talked with a paypal rep about his account and they said it's verified and legit. Over 90 transactions have occured and no info has been changed. He's picking a random time to pull off a scam if he is.

I truely believe it is NOT a scam.

Last year when I shipped my 55 Bel Air here to Germany-- it arrived in Rotterdam/Netherlands-------I picked it up from there
there was a HUGE hall and it was filled with 50% old VW vans and old Mercedes--all U.S. spec cars being shipped back to thier birthplace!----- and there were a ton of east europeans there picking these cars up.-----

Your car was for the price a deal that you would NEVER find in Europe-- and it doesnt cost all that much to get it over here---- I was actually trying to talk my wife into letting me buy your car today!!!!!! NO BS.

The guy called me to confirm that it had red centered tail lights - specific to early 1600s. I don't se an angle on this deal. I think it's legit.

+1 this is interesting but by the sounds of it, he seems pretty legit. I personally say that you've done your part in protecting yourself and got all the questions answered, so now you just gotta ride it out.

I'll believe it was not a scam once the chargeback period has expired. Report back to us in 90 days or so.
