Can I back out on this sale or am I obligated to give it a shot?

Dude, seriously? What is wrong with you? You had a good policy, now stick to it.

Tell him you said no international buyers and even if he is legit, you are sorry, not going to happen. Pay the fee to block his number and move on. Go to the second highest bidder and take that... the difference is not worth the risk.

And even if you did sell it, screw a package deal. He asks for the car and A,B,C,D... car arrives but without C because you happened to forget or he lies about it. He files a claim and you get tied up in BS and he gets a "free" car if it is reversed. No way would I go for that.

Stick to your guns and your right to be suspicious cash in hand is the safest policy imo...

I'm entertaining other offers right now. I have 2 on the table - one for the final auction price and one to trade for a sub 1k mile honda ruckus.

Screw him! He has no right to your car. Sell it to the next highest bidder.

Wait a whole week for money to be in your account. Keep all emails handy. If buyers cancel the transfer, you can easily deal with Paypal as you have some proofs.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I recently sold my 61 Mercedes and went through the same thing with a couple buyers. I didn't feel comfortable from the start and actually had to offer to send more than the 3 pictures I had originally posted. I just ended up canceling the whole thing and sold it to an out of state buyer who drove to Cali to pick it up. It sucks for the legit people trying to buy a car but with all the scams out there, you can't count on people being trustworthy.

DUDE... it's 100% a scam. Georgia doesn't exist anymore, Russians took care of that shit a little while ago.

I wouldn't risk it. Shipping a car half way around the world, I'd clear the cash and close paypal account before shipping, lol.
