Being in California, I was literally just waking up to go walk the dog before getting ready for work that day. The radio station my alarm clock is set to was abuzz with the early reports of a plane hitting WTC. I thought to myself "what the...." so I went into living room, clicked on the TV and watched the drama unfold. I was in deep shock and disbelief since I was in NYC that July and went to the observation deck of the south tower at WTC.

A lot of innocent people were taken from us that day......and we should never, ever forget them or the events of 9/11. May they forever rest in peace.

I was in 4th grade (I'm a young'n, yes), and my grandmother was in town as we were supposed to go to Hawaii that day. My mother woke me up normally and had the TV on the news. We never had watched TV during breakfast, so I asked why the TV was on. My mom said something along the lines of "someone stole a plane and crashed it into a building." Right then I saw the second plane go into the second tower. I remember noticing it right as it came into the screen and it was slow motion until it hit the tower. I was young and didn't really understand so my first question was about what time we were leaving for the airport to go to Hawaii. After that I don't remember much until at school a girl in my class said her dad missed his flight by 6 minutes. That flight ended up in the WTC. That's the first time I realized that people even died in this event.

I was on a job in the middle of the woods, in a mud hole up to my knees putting in a 2200' water service. When our inspector came up and told us what was going on.

I remember the rest of that day like it was yesterday.

I was at work. it happened just after my break, so I just missed watching the crash live, but it was on the display TVs all over with everyone watching. I was pretty tired and hadn't really realized exactly what happened until I got home later. It was all pretty shocking.
