Fellow Staffy owner here. i told The Dude (my Staffy Hank) about what happened to you cat, he couldn't care less. But after relaying the story about your dog he got really upset and went outside to eat some grass.
      He says to get well.
Oh, his best bud Bert sends his regards as well.

Yea we talked to him a couple days ago, he said it could still be shock. Based on the way her eye looks it seems like brain damage from a stroke. Her left eye is off centered and there is a white piece of flesh (I guess an inner part of the eye lid) obscuring about 1/4 of the eye. I think we're bringing her in on monday if she doesn't improve any. She is starting to be able to find her way around again, whereas for a few days we had to carry her to the litter box and to her food. Those are really the only 2 occasions that she walks around though, otherwise she just lays there.

Lol, I just came home from school and jewel greeted me by running full speed down the stairs, drifting across the wood floor and plowing a wall. I guess she's feeling better since this morning. I love my staffy, she's a bit over 7 now and still playful as hell, hasn't aged a bit.

Mine is 10, and although we know in the back of our minds he is getting up there in age, he is still the same, not that he really ever did anything too strenuous. The most stress he ever went through was getting his a#$ kicked by a cocker spaniel.

Yea mines stupid, when she's really excited and outside, she just runs lap around you. You can hear her whining while she runs, because she runs so fast it hurts her.

Yea I miss mine too, you'll pet her and look into her eyes and there's nothing there. She's just empty inside.

                  Update:
Kitty is walking around, eats constantly, eye is looking better. She's a bit of a bitch now though. She started hissing and growling when you pick her up, never purrs anymore. Still hasn't actually scratched or bitten anyone, but still nowhere near a s affectionate as she was.

Jewel seems fine, eating like she used to, still cut up but the wounds are closed. The only actual bandage she has on her is on her leg because she wouldn't stop licking it.

Glad to hear your puss is doing better...

mine just got neutered, so we're dealing with some trust issues right now.

Can't say my old cat was every really the same after we nipped him. This one was supposed to get spayed like 2 days after she got hurt, we obviously postponed it due to the incident.

She might still have some pain and is letting you know it hurts to pick her up.

Give her some time and I bet she'll be seeking out your lap and purring soon enough, especially during the winter months approaching.

Update: Kitty is still a dick, Jewel is fine out of her mind again.

Now we got this little bugger after her mom orphaned him.

Definitely keeping jewel away from him.

That little guy is precious. Definitely keep him away from the dog.

I have a mutt; staffordshire, akita, german shepherd. Day before x-mas we picked up the mom after she was thrown out of a car in front of us. All the puppies made it but she didn't. We named our little guy Shadow and the rest unfortunately had to go to a shelter. I love my dog.

It doesn't sound so much like dyspnea to me, which is more characteristic of cardiopulmonary disease than any sort of multiple trauma (we see dyspnea most often in COPD patients). Lets hope she keeps improving.
