So I'm freaking out right now, waiting for news. My parents were cutting chicken apparently my kitten got closer than my dog would like. The dog hits the cat with a paw and the cat collapses. My parents rushed off to the vet which is unfortunately about half an hour away. When they left the cat was breathing but it sounded like her airway was constricted. My dad picked her up, she was what sounded like purring but it seemed like she was struggling.

So I guess what I'm asking is if her neck is broken would she be able to breath, or instantly die? I'm anxiously waiting info from my parents.

Apparently they're X-raying right now, she's can slowly move her head, breathing, and the doctor said her heart seems alright. She's in heavy shock, and literally got the shit scared out of her.

I guess your laughing at the shit herself part, I kinda found it funny too when my dad told me. This was after we found out her neck wasn't broken of course. Kitty is home, still in what seems like shock. Xrays came up clean, she's on a pain killer, still breathing really heavy. We have to bring her back tomorrow, just to make sure everything's fine. I was just nervous because she just collapsed, didn't move at all.

The dog is a 7 year old Staffordshire Terrier, they're pitbulls but smaller. Probably about 25-30lbs. She is actually very sweet, and playful, never really attacked anything. This really wasn't malicious, if it was she would have bitten, it's just that kittens are ultra fragile and you could uppercut this dog and she wouldn't flinch.

yea as far as we know she has a bruised lung. When my dad first picked her up she did this death rattle thing, and hacked up blood, so we thought she was gone.

Ok so update, cat it peeing pooping eating drinking and bats strings when you put one right by her. Still not walking around, still has a droopy ass eye. We're not sure if it's from the drugs, or if she had a stroke. She's just like in a massive K hole.
