I agree he is a douche bag, which is fine if he wants to try and pedal his propaganda. I just hate it when people think that he's uncovering some great truth. His films are not documentarys or "news." He goes out with an opinion and a goal in mind, and will twist facts and statements to make it fit how he wants it to.

The last film I watched was "Roger and me" a few years ago in a sociology class. After the film basically our class was in a uproar of sorts on how big of a douche bag Michael Moore is. Then we went over and found all the time line fuckups he did. IE There was a specific instance where some gentleman was having a christmas party and said something about the ongoing detroit layoffs. This was played after the plant was closed to show how he shit canned everyone out of a job a few days before Christmas. In reality the plant didn't close for a while after chistmas... but who gives a fuck. Micheal Moore doesn't need facts, he can make them and they are true.

Well considering Bush had less votes than Gore and it was the conservative supreme court which made the decision to stop the recount in Florida, it seems logical that he was selected and not elected.

That's the realities of how elections in this country work. (edit: by that, I mean the constitutional mechanism for selecting new leaders.) It's set forth in the constitution. So, I don't see what having conservative judges has to do with it. They counted, then re-counted, and re-re-counted, and finally said "we're going to follow what the constitution says". Do do otherwise would have required a constitutional amendment.

because that's not a theory, it's fact. it happened. it may have been constitutional and in that sense quite legal but the fact remains that the candidate who won the popular vote, lost the presidency.

Alright, Bowling for Columbine is the only one of his movies I enjoyed. The other ones are just boring and dumb. Like Fahrenheit 9/11.

The State of Florida Constitution?
The Electoral College?

Bush won the required number of Electoral votes to win the Presidency, and was thus elected.

Or did you want an infinite number recounts until you got a favorable result, and then proclaim victory for Gore?
