The facts are the same.

If racism is discriminating people because on their skin colour, well denying marriage to a white and black couple, just because of the colour of their skin, is racism. The judge decided otherwise. He doen't have to make a personal judgement. He has to use the tools of the law, to make a judgement. Segregation was abolished in 1961, I think, even though in one state, it hasn't been ratified officially until 2001 (was it Alabama).

Just as it is their right to want to get married, it is his right not to marry them. Its his opinion.

Pretty much all business's reserve the right to refuse service to anyone they choose. Say you go into a gun store talking about how you hate this person and that person and really would like to do something about it. And then you get pissed when they don't want to sell you a gun? Whether they are right or wrong, in both situations the owner feels that servicing that person would possibly have a bad outcome. Its their call...

Disclaimer: I don't have anything against interracial relationships but I do get aggravated when people get pissy about small things like this. How would you like to be forced to do something you didn't feel was right, like marry them? Thats what really would be wrong.

You have to Apply for a marriage license

You have to find a preacher, judge, justice of the peace, ship captain...etc... Yo do the ceremony.

Any of those things can turn you down for getting married, there is no law anywhere that say because you can perform marriage ceremonies, = YOU MUST TO ANY ONE THAT WANTS 1

Only private businesses can refuse service. A judge isn't a private business. It is his job to make judgements based on the law and precident, not on personal opinion.
