Yeah, the wide body is pure sex appeal. Mine's just a regular 993 (narrow body).

964 and 993 are very similar, I've just always thought the 964 looked like a bastard stepchild - not quite modern but not quite classic either. Bumpers don't look right to me.

I much prefer the 993 - the pinnacle of the evolution of the air-cooled 911.

Is the blue car yours? If not, do you know anything about the year or model?

Not mine. It's really hard to tell the age of a torsion bar 911 from the outside when it's been modified/ stripped down as a race car, the chassis are so similar all the way through the late 80s. I took that shot at a vintage race so more than likely it is late 60s to late 70s.

Not sure how familiar you are with 911, the fiberglass bumpers on the blue car make it look like a 1973 or older model even if it is not.

I vote white, or maybe a brighter, more metallic bronze.

                    Porsche A "type"

Bronze is looking classy and less flashy to the police.

I like some of the less extreme RWB cars that are popping up.

I am 90% sure this is the same car I saw at the 12 Hours of Sebring this past year in the paddock. He was a pretty cool guy and said he had somewhere north of 60k (could have been 80k, it has been a while) in a 914!!
