were the rears hand formed?.......or were they pre made, bought , and welded?

The rears are full turbo quarters that are welded. It was done prior to my ownership - they did a pretty good job though.

Got some paint on her last week - was undecided on what exhaust I wanted to go with, so that held me up on fitting the rear bumper. Originally was going to leave it factory style with the 2 outlets under each bumperette, but couldn't pass up the M&K GT3 style that came up for sale locally with matching SS headers. My next hold up is swapping out that massive front mount intercooler that won't fit behind the new bumper. It fit behind the old IROC style bumper. Probably going to call elephant racing later today and pickup a fender mounted one with finned oil lines.

6 Figures? Not even close, I stole the car originally though, for what it was. A 76 w/ turbo flares and a 3.6 motor. Trans would;t go into 3rd or 4th so I had a new 915 trans built by Shaun @ Tru6, because the one originally in the car wouldn't engage in 3rd or 4th. He built me a really nice trans (guard lsd, wevo bearing retainer plate, tarrett side plate and 930 roller bearing.)

The wheels came from this dude Marc Zurlinden (http://zurlindenllc.com) who's doing some really incredible work.

Yea thats a wonderful starting point, Im sure that 915 trans rebuild with the LSD and everything wasnt cheap, but with the bigger ticket items done, and done well apparently you are well ahead of the game. Are you keeping it when its all said and done?

I really didn't want a white car but I didn't feel like pulling the motor for the second time after I got the trans issue sorted. And I didn't want a colored car with white engine compartment. The lack of the sunroof also made it more tempting even though it was white...

Maybe I'll sell it and use the funds to build something in a color I wanted.

The car came with OEM 930 front fenders too - so that plus the IROC parts basically washed out the cost of the Getty backdate parts...
