Samsung Moment 2nd android phone to Sprint

Have any of you bought an android phone yet? They seem to be pretty cool. The Moment came out today. I sold one today, and it seems really nice. The color of the screen is really bright and clear.

I was gonna get a Hero but it wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. The Moment is ugly. Do you know when Android 2 is comming to Sprint?

the pre is a horrible execution of android, realy slow and crappy.

Only the pictures. Gonna check it out when I go pay my bill on Tuesday or Thursday. Already have a BB and a Pre so I want something with a virtual keyboard to complete the trifecta. I might wait because I think the phones need more processor to keep with with Andriod2 same with Pre its cool but it can't handle too much.

Pre uses Palm/Linux WebOS, the Droid looks capable not not sold on it's looks. Motorola does build some quality phones when they want to though.

Durr, I forgot Pre wasn't android. FML. but either way, all the hardware running android at this point blows compared to android.

Yea thats why I am waiting. Not super crazy on capabilities and apps so I want a cool looking phone to go along with the performance.

I've been messing around with the Moment for about a month (Dad is a solutions engineer for sprint) side by side with the Pre and Hero I much prefer the Moment. It's got power but could definitely have used the 5.0 megapixel camera the Hero has, 3.0mp is still pretty weak. Android seems to run fine and I much prefer the physical qwerty keyboard to the virtual in the hero. I'm also not a fan of the angled bottom the Hero shares with the G1. Having owned and worked with the Pre, Pro (8500), Touch Pro2, Moment and Hero in the last 2 months, I would say the Moment is my favorite phone. I much prefer the design of the Touch Pro2 but Windows mobile 6.1 is a very bad OS which kills me, I wish the Touch Pro2 came with Android! I'm planning on officially owning the Moment whenever they release it to employees (gotta love my $15/month plan!). All of the phones could stand to use a better processor but since we're stuck with CDMA most of the faster phones from HTC and Samsung don't make it over. On the bright side, 4G data with the Moment is pretty badass (in Houston and DC at least).

I do, just had a momentary lapse of reason. Palm's OS is nice, but it's really really fuckign slow on the hardware they're running it on right now.

the droid, hardware wise, is leaps and bounds above any other android phone right now in terms of speed. It's a little bit slower than the iphone for browsing still, but as far as hardware available for android it's the fastest shit on the block.

yea i just read that thinking uh does this guy really own a pre because its not an android.

I like the hero we have a demo of it in my store. I really dislike HTC, but this seems to be nice.. I just prefer the Moment Ialso wish it had a 5megapixel camera. you would think it would. the new instinct HD has a 5.0 so i expect this too.
