Him being a shrink probably made it easier for him to hide his own mental issues. Mental Health personnel are assumed to be able to hold their shit together, so there is less attention toward them, not more. Plus, he was a major, and probably pulled rank on anyone who noticed something off about him, so nothing was reported with any measure of success.

It is interesting that nothing has been released about the other two guys involved, but is probably being done as a protective measure. If they also have a hint of Arabic to their name, every single member of the armed forces that is not white, black, or Hispanic will be vilified, and the armed forces cannot afford to lose those people or any potential recruits turned away by the expected internal reaction due to already existing troop shortages.

Actually i have, although i will admit it was about 20 years ago. Although I was born buddhist, I was quite interested in all world religions in my teens and studied whatever I could about most of them before coming to the conclusion that I do not believe in God.

I feel for the families and friends and even the normal everyday person who has to hear reports about events like these . No matter the motivation for this dildo's actions it is truly sad and selfish. Far to often these things occur at the hands of the extremist terrorists both foreign and domestic. I believe humans are a virus (figuratively) as well, we are selfish & destructive in everyway we will find a problem with anything and the answer is always the same dominate and destroy. Humans are addicted to dominating a perceived enemy or target we will use any excuse to light the flame to carry on our proclaimed selfless agenda's. Btw, theres a city in Spain, Cordoba where Jews, Muslims, and Christians all lived peacefully together for 600 years. It can be done, you just have to want it and try not to judge one another. You don't have to look too hard to find beauty in diversity.

what I find odd is that he has been recorded as saying extreme remarks by fellow officers, and nothing happened. Here was a man who, in uniform, stated to others in uniform that he thought it acceptable for people to slaughter U.S. soldiers overseas. He stated that the suicide bomber was on par with a soldier who jumps on a grenade to save his friends. And yet, he was still in charge of helping and comforting younger, more impressionable soldiers who had their friends killed by suicide bombers.

this event is tragic to be sure, but it represents a failure much larger than just this man who carried out these attacks.

Do you know fucking anything? the crusades weren't biblically based. the crusades were a tool for those in power to gain wealth and prestige, they thinly vieled it as being a relgious crusade because no man would die in a far away place otherwise. the majority of people in those days were illiterate. so the ability of governments to sway the population with relegion was easy.
it wasnt christianity that started the crusades, it was corrupt people.
