My GT5 graphics are grainy, you can tell with the dashboards. It's the same with the prologue on mine but my other PS3 games seem fine. I'm running 1080 with HDMI and Forza is smoother at 720, lol.
GT5 definitely has superior graphics, they just come across as grainy on mine. As far as a comparison between Forza and GT5 from what I have played so far I'm still mixed. GT5 has better physics, by far. I love how the roads aren't smooth as glass. You can really tell how much you oversteer and understeer but overall the cars seem to grip more than Forza. There is definitely more feel and one can get more of a grasp of what is going on with the car. The grainy, yet highly detailed graphics are nice, the grainy does bother me. One thing that bothers me though, the damage physics or lack thereof. Not only is there no damage, but there is no recoil in case of collision. The cars don't push away from each other. The issue I have with that is I have no consideration of other cars. I don't feel the need to back off and feel o remorse for smashing my car around. In Forza, I have second thoughts of pushing too hard because not only will I damage my cars overall performance, but I will also send myself and the other car screeching in seperate directions. The car list is the other obvious debatable issue. No E30 aside the list in Forza seems to be composed of cars that are desirable, or purposeful to track driving. The GT5 list is so scattered. There are many cars that no one even really cares about. Interesting cars yes, but nothing one would want to purchase to drive around a track. I would say a a good size of cars on that list, aside from repeats, are completely useless for racing.
As for the grainyness, it's like a white fuzzy haze across my screen. The thing is, my menus are crystal clear it's only my racing screen. Even the pre race menu on the bottom is clear while the racing screen above is hazy. So it's in the graphics, not my setup.Last edited by Holland; 11-24-2010, 07:16 PM.1985 M10b18. 70maybewhpoffury. And 5toes I gotcha, I just thought you were saying GT4 had better graphics. I was flabbergasted.

You guys complaining about graphics quality...what hardware are you using? With a 55" LED 240hz TV with 1080p I'm blown away by the graphics. I'm betting you've got your TV set up wrong or you're using an older one.

Ive only done the first level of kart racing, and it was too easy. I won the one race by like 3 seconds. It is fun though, and damn the brakes are touchy.
Also, got my Z4 in Shwartz Metallic. I think I might make it a NA beast. Cant figure out the whole turbo thing (it says it cant install it)Comment

What do most of you use? The PS3 controller or a steering wheel? The damn Logitech wheels seem so expensive!
