But if you watch the video slow motion, that kid dive bombs the car on purpose. So he either hates Jean and was looking to fuck his car up, which would mean they know each other as neighbors. And why is there a full time security camera focused only on Jeans car. And if it was really legit, why not take it to a real small claims court.

Given that the TV show pays the damages since it is not a real court of law. So is it possible that Jean had prior damage (lots of swirl marks for a single bike impact), got together with his neighbor, (The black kid) and made a deal to do a set up and get it on Judge Judy. Judge Judy makes a judgement in favor of Jean. Jean instead of fixing the damage, since it was already there, splits the money with the kid. The kid get a few hundred and Jean get a few hundred.

There are multiple cameras actually, that camera can see 2 cars but only my car was parked there at that specific moment.

I honestly thought (stupid me) they would show some responsibility and pay for the damages, so I took the car to a fairly inexpensive shop (I could have easily gotten an estimate for 2-3k). When they declined, I did file my paperwork at the small claims court. I was pretty heated, I mean if you hit a car and get caugh how can you deny it?

I can't go into much details, but the show must have people researching small claims at the various courts to pull cases they might be interested in.

Sorry for the OT, but I'm with LBJefferies and Lee. Media can strech a lot of things out of proportion to make it seem worse than it is. While blacks do commit more crime statistically, they are not as prevalent as is displayed on the news. LBJefferies is trying to make the point that it's a culture thing. If 10 white kids grew up in Detroit on food stamps looking at drug dealers and gang-bangers as role models, they'll be just as likely to commit crime as hispanic, black, or asian kids in the same situation. No one is genetically pre-disposed to being a criminal because of thier pigmentation, but the marketing and culture that centers on the black community, and their average standard of living, increase the likelihood of being criminal.
