    Scotch? I like the "Transparent" best, but "Magic" does OK too.

    Thread seems kinda late though, all the good Christmas wrapping is done.

            Not huge on Scotch but would recommend Walker Blue King or Macallan 30years or older. I have had both on occasions. If you are a Scotch Fan try some ports. I have been collecting ports for a while and could recommned some great stuff.

                Ever since St. Patty's I can't put down this Red Breast 12yr, such a great whiskey!

                I have yet to crack my Macallan 12.

                edit: I just found out that they will be importing a RB 15yr to the US this fall!

                        Lagavulin 16 was my choice whilst in Germany. Just about to pick me up a bottle of that here soon.
                        83 500 SEC.....aired and then some
                        87 420 SEL......on 20" D's

                                This is often my go-to in restaurants, its often the best they carry. Just note that its got some iodine odor to it. It doesnt taste like it but the nose can turn a lot of people off.

                                    Glenlivet or Glenfidich (kinda girly), If you like try Bunnahabhain

                                    Lagavulin the bench mark for peaty scotches. (kinda manly) Also try Tallisker

                                    Mcallan my fav and the older the better

                                    Ardbeg is a very nice scotch but can be a bit spendy

                                    Glendronach I think this one is better than the price (good value)

                                    Balvenie Often cheep at duty free

                                    Johny Walker is not a single malt. It is a blended scotch (not very fashionable at the moment)
                                    Rather than drink the entry level scotches I prefer to drink Irish whiskey excellent value for money can be found here.
