Faculty at University of California, San Diego are developing a GPS-enabled cell phone that tells dehydrated migrants where to find water and pipes in poetry from phone speakers, regaling them on their journey much like Emma Lazarus' words did a century ago to the "huddled masses yearning to breathe free" on Ellis Island.

If someone was trying to escape to Mexico to avoid criminal charges/jail time and you helped to feed them and give them water you could be charged with aiding and abiding a criminal. Why should it be different the other way around?

For the record, I did not bring up race/ethnicity in my post, simply showing that there are people fueling the tide of illegal immigration into our country.

These same "artists" could have made bright paper mache billboards that say "Turn the F Around" and place them 3 miles inside US territory to get the same effect. Either way they are trying to keep people alive, but why are we putting out a welcome mat?

it's a slap to the face for the people who want to come to this country legally, including my wife.

same with the idea of giving them all green cards or DL's. Make them go through the same process everyone else has to - wait in mexico for a year and a half, spend a couple grand filling paperwork, wait some more, and then fly to the other side of the country for an interview. and then MAYBE let them in. ;)

if we want less people to come here illegally, we need to let more in legally..
