Perhaps the government should stop messing around with crap that does not work and that causes problems for everybody. Profiling is a perfectly valid technique and if done right, can actually work (Israel is a prime example). It's just that most of the people they catch will be young muslim males on one-way tickets originating out of Turkmenistan. Go figure.(so we can't do that because it's racist...)

And nobody that I know has changed their way of life because of this type of crap other than packing their toiletries in plastic zip lock bags. Flying is not a right, Its a Privilege, if you want to get on the plane, then deal with it. Is it fair No prolly not, but since when is life fair.

this is america. equality for everyone. if muslim men get strip searched everyone gets strip searched. i dont give a flying shit if it is true that it is more likely that muslim men will blow up a plane. americans need to learn that the rules do not change every time it is best for them. if you make a rule you stick by it. in this case there should be no discrimination. there are more peaceful law abiding muslims out there then there are radical right wing terrorists and that is a fact.

there are plenty of other methods of screening like body size scanners that would work just as well.

this thing could be set up so that the person viewing the scan would not see you or even know who you are what so ever. there is no need to know who the person is until a read flag goes up and then the person viewing the scan could raise an alert and a guard could pull the person being scanned aside for a search.

this is right on. the only resin Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab slipped by on christmas is because the FBI did not listen to one of their vary own agents who was trying to aleret them about Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
same thing with 9-11 and the guys who took flying lessons. an agent tried to tell the fbi about that as well and no one listened...
