Chevy Caprice, parish school football stadium parking lot. Fun and a real good memory of my father. That was 22 years ago.

I learned on my e30 at 12, right after I had helped my dad change the brakes and do a tune up. Drove her around the block, it was great!

Dads brand new ( at the time and now sold) 2005 Jeep rubicon Sahara unlimited, lake michigan beach parkign lot, got it stuck in a patch of sand on the parkign lot, very imbarassing, ( my dad got it out) and 2 months ago ,got my E30 stuck in the same way in a different lake michigan parking lot at 12:30am with a few friends. were out by stony lake drivign around and we decided to see how big the waves were ( they were big and wind was blowing like a mother fucker) ,I saw a patch of sand in the parkign lot, tried to drift through it, failed miserably, got bogged down half way through, good times. :) It is fucking sad that to this day, I havent had the chance to learn a manual trans. In my life time parents have had autos, and none of my friends have a stick shift I can borrow eater.

I learnt to drive in a fairly interesting car at age 13. I will have to try find a picture but it was a specially built motokhana car.

Datsun 1600 sectioned in the middle, you sat where the rear seat would have been and the door was made from the front half of the front door and the rear half of the rear door. The boot had also being cut off. It was auto but a pile of fun. The next competition car we had was a Toyota Sprinter (Corolla GT-X) but with a 4AGZE :)

Hey, it was a great car. Light, RWD, no bullshit. I think it's what made me like the way e30's look and behave:

I learned to drive in 8th grade in my cousin's e30 (mine now) Went to the high school parking lot and watched her climb over the driver's seat into the passanger seat as only one door worked at the time Did pretty good till I came to the hill where I stalled like twice. Didn't drive stick again till last year when my uncle taught me properly in a '00 Mirage.

I was in my back yard with my 10y/o daughter last week and taught her how to drive the automatic e28. she did good- no high speed, but alot of backing up, and pulling into the carport type of stuff.

I think I was 12-13, my uncle heard I wanted to drive, so he plopped my in his work van (A large Type 4 box van for 5gal water bottle delivery). Drove that massive thing (at the time) around my neighborhood a couple times. Didn't really start learning until I wanted to drive stick, then my Dad took me around in our mazda truck.

I let my 11 year old brother drive my 4runner, we were down at the beach and I figured he needs to start sometime. I wish I had an older brother when I was that age.

I learned in a total POS Mazda 5 speed. I was scared to death. I drove on the streets at 14. I think my moms boyfriend (not the cool club chapter president step dad) at the time was drunk. It was fun but I was scared shitless :)

8 years old my first experience was hopping in my dads dodge something lifted pickup truck at the gas station.... almost got to the street, he had to hop in and save us. lol.

then i kinda taught myself, when i was 12-13; i took my dads truck, moms car, friends moms car, whoever let me drive, i was drivin.

                              5spds are pretty easy. lol.
