Someone said get a job hippies... Vancouver like every other major city has a mass community of homelessness and drug addicts that wander the downtown eastside... due to health services throwing them on the street and discontinuing service to severely sick people.


The money the community makes is equal to ZERO... small business will earn some money and citizens will be taxed up the ass to cover the costs while the businesses get tax breaks and write offs...

There was no article because I posted it up about 10 minutes after seeing it on TV. Sure the Olympics will put us in debt and it wasn't the best idea, but the point of my post was that these protestors have no fucking respect! I have owned SEVERAL homes in both of those places and guess what? I worked my ass off away from home months at a time it the far north, freezing my ass off from late summer to early summer to provide for my family, I paid more in income taxes than 75% of wage earners in Canada even MAKE in a year during that time.

what did My taxes buy me?

My tax dollars were spent on a safe place to let hookers shoot heroin.

Clothing and feeding and supplying medical treatment to drug addicts who feel it is there entitlement to drain the system even though they have no responsibility for themselves and cant be bothered to not share needles/ use condoms, live anything resembling a healthy lifestyle and spread HIV, HeP A,B,C, and what ever fucking else they are packing?

it also helped to pay for a needle exchange. YAY! it should have paid for isolating these people from the rest of society.

You think that in some way I feel better about investing my HARD EARNED dollars in catering to the dregs of society who refuse to help themselves, than investing in hosting an event like the Olympic games that brings investment, tourism spending, infrastructure and international attention?
